FEAR NOT Week of April 26, 2020

What is Fear? Fear is an adverse emotion to courage and bravery experienced when one feels threatened or afraid that something horrible or terrible is going to happen. Fear is a natural reaction to threat, but with God, we are encouraged not to be fearful. Therefore, fear will come but when it comes, let’s put it away through the power God has given to us.

It’s only through the sovereign power of the Almighty God can man conquer fear.  

According to Isaiah 41:10 KJV God encourages us “ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Although we are tempted to fear let us remember that nothing can conquer God, not COVID-19, not Satan, hence we should put our trust in God Almighty who will keep us even in this terrible time that we are living.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV states that “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

If God did not give us fear, then who did? It must be the Devil! therefore why are we accepting gifts from the Devil? We should only accept what God has given us, power, and a sound mind.

According to Proverb 29: 25 “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

St. Johm n 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”

Let us allow God to protect us as only He can. God is still in charge no matter what and we must take comfort in His word and in His arms today. FEAR NOT!!!
